Pachmarhi Packages
Combined with two Hindi words – “Panch” which refers to “five” and “Marhi” which means “caves”, Pachmarhi has five ancient caves. Legends had it that the origin of these caves dates back to Mahabharata's period when the five Pandavas built them for shelter during their exile for thirteen years.
In 1857, Capt. James Forsyth was the first from the British Army who discovered this place on his way to Jhansi. It was a cantonment and sanatorium for British rulers back then. Located around 1067m above sea level, Pachmarhi is located in Satpura Valley and has become the most popular tourist destination of Madhya Pradesh. Tourists visit here to explore Satpura National Park, Chhota Mahadev, Dhoopgarh, Chauragarh Temple, Pandava Caves, and other attractions.
