Dhuandhar Falls, located near Bhedaghat, is another captivating natural attraction. The waterfall cascades from a height of 30 metres, creating misty surroundings and a beautiful sight. The roar of falling water and the resulting mist provide the falls with their name, meaning “smoky waterfall”. Tourists often enjoy cable car rides across the falls, offering spectacular aerial views. This temple sits on top of a small hill near Bhedaghat and is more than 1,000 years old. It was built by the Kalachuri kings in the 10th century. The temple is round in shape, with 64 small idols of yoginis placed all around the wall. In the center, there’s a big idol of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati riding Nandi. You have to climb around 100+ steps to reach the top, but from there, you can see a great view of the Narmada River and Marble Rocks. It’s one of the oldest temples in Jabalpur and also one of the few surviving Yogini temples in India.
